Maligayang Pasko everyone! Happy Holidays & Happy New Year!

Good morning Kasamas,
As previously mentioned, the unnamed and unwelcome alternative newspaper is rumored to return to our campus on Thursday, December 8th. With that, I encourage you all to resist reading the material and instead recycle it! Each newspaper recycled makes all the difference in combating such hurtful media from infecting our campus. Also, don’t forget to talk to those who are unaware of the harmful repercussions of the material and inform them on different ways they can join the movement to stop the hate on campus!
Happy studying and good knowledge on your finals!
Take care, Edilynne P.

Literally meaning Happy Turkey Day, on behalf of your 2011 KA Officers, I would like to wish you all a very festive and fun Thanksgiving! Stay safe on the roads, and in the shopping malls. As we celebrate this glorious holiday with our loved ones, I urge you all to remember and reflect on the true meaning of the holiday, as well as the underlying struggles and histories. For more information on the history behind Thanksgiving, check out this video, provided to us by our very own Sheena “Chin-chin” Medina.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! :)

This is Edilynne, just to say hello!
I bet everyone’s been super busy with midterms, I know I have! This semester has gone by fast, but how better to relax and have fun, than with your kasamas.
In lieu of Thanksgiving, the KA’s GBM will be move to December 1st, same room, same time. Come out, because this’ll be a special one. ;)
Also, we hope you’ll rvsp naaaaooo For our annual KA Christmas Party! It’ll be on Friday December 16th, from 5-9. With finals that week, why not kick back with some of the coolest people you’ll ever know. Sounds awesome, yeah? Yeah! We’ll have plenty of food, be taking tons of photos, karaoke, and White Elephant. Also, we’ll be passing out the club shirts. If you haven’t purchased one yet, contact Derek M. Location is TBD.
Lastly, if you auditioned for the Pilipino Culture Showcase, if you’re interested in props, or being a dancer, be prepared for rehearsals. We’re starting during winter break, so I hope you get your inner actor prepared. PCS will be here before you know it, so every one bring your A-game. Let’s do this!
Some last words, thank you for every one who came out to PCS Auditions and the Panda Express fundraiser. To all the members, thank you for your constant support. It goes a long way. Other than that, I hope you all have a great, short (thank goodness) week at school, and a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend. Don’t get too crazy on Black Friday! :)

Left By the Ship - SDAFF 2011
Legit documentary which showed a new perspective that I was somewhat unaware of. I was enlightened and emotionally struck by the stories and lives of struggling Amerasians in the Philippines. Life is tough and we should be thankful for everything we have.
Trust your stuggle because each and everyday everyone is finding that opportunity.
